White Castle is moving one step closer to the spring 2021 debut of its southwest Orlando Castle with the announcement that hiring is under way. The family-owned business is expected to bring 120 new jobs to the area.
To join the team and ensure a safe process for all, applicants must apply online at careers.whitecastle.com. For applicants who advance in the hiring process, White Castle will schedule and conduct in-person interviews with all safety protocols in place.
“We are humbled by the warm welcome we have received from the Central Florida community and expect to hire outstanding team members when we gear up for our Orlando Castle opening this spring,” said Orlando Operating Partner Francis Nation.
Like many team members now holding leadership positions, Nation began his 25-year tenure with White Castle working behind the counter. Mike Guinan, vice president operations services for White Castle, shares a similar career trajectory with more than 34 years of service. “We’re committed to fueling continued growth in Orlando by providing a ‘best place to work’ environment for all of our team members, as well as a long-term career opportunity,” said Guinan. “We stand ready to encourage a friendly spirit in the restaurant as we feed the souls of ‘craver’ generations everywhere by offering hot and tasty affordable food.”
Located in southwest Orlando at Unicorp’s $1 billion The Village at O-Town West mixed-use development, White Castle expects to start satisfying Central Florida “cravers” by spring 2021. The 4,567-square foot restaurant will include indoor and outdoor seating and two drive-through lanes, highlighted by the brand’s eye-catching tower in a sleek, modern industrial-style architectural design.
Since its beginning 100 years ago, Columbus, Ohio-based White Castle has held fast to its founder’s belief that families everywhere should be able to enjoy an evening at a restaurant with tasty food at a great value creating memorable moments. March 10, 2021 marked the 100th birthday of White Castle’s business launch — America’s first fast-food hamburger chain. In honor of the milestone, White Castle will be celebrating all year long with special events, fun promotions and new menu items.
