THE NICE LIST is a virtual holiday musical for the whole family created in 2020 during the height of COVID-19 shutdown as a way to create artistic opportunities for Broadway artists to spread a little holiday cheer during a most difficult time.

This holiday season we are re-releasing THE NICE LIST from 11/29/21 to 1/15/22 via Broadway on Demand and 100% of all proceeds will go to Feeding America. Donate what you can! Please help the elves reach their goal as well as enjoy our very special holiday family musical.

In the wake of COVID -19 pandemic, unemployment and food insecurity soared. In the United States, 1 out of 9 people face food insecurity. 2020, over 60 million people turned to food banks and community programs for help putting food on the table. FEEDING AMERICA supports a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. By making a donation of 2 dollars or more you will be emailed a link for the musical and you will be helping put food on someone’s table that needs it.

THE NICE LIST is an original 45-minute holiday family musical with 6 original songs (including “Always a Holiday” and “They’re All Naughty”). Harnessing the benefits of the Zoom Era,is now available in time for the Holiday Season. Costume design is by Brian Hemesath. Props, designed by Kathy Fabian / Propstar. Puppet Design is by Jennifer Barnhart (Sesame Street, Helpsters). The Nice List Band features composer Gary Adler (keys), Michael Croiter (drums & percussion), Mary Ann McSweeney (bass), Brian Koonin (guitar) and J.J. Johnson (viola).

The diverse, star-studded cast tells a heartwarming tale of empathy, understanding and inclusion. While the show may be full of elves and reindeer and total nonsense, the message is an important one for both kids and grownups.

Synopsis Teleconferencing and… Christmas? It sounds like a weird combination. But this year, Santa’s Head Elf Chestnut (Telly Leung, Aladdin) has convinced the whole North Pole to adopt this modern technology and go virtual.
At the beginning of the Christmas Season, all the elves are all feeling confident in their roles- including our mismatched protagonists: upbeat Crumpet (Julia Mattison, Godspell) and grumpy Raisin (Ann Harada, Avenue Q).

But when Santa (James Monroe Iglehart, Tony Award winner for Genie in Aladdin) announces that he’ll be supervising the season remotely this year, Raisin and Crumpet must take on the biggest responsibility of all: the famous “Naughty and Nice List”.

As the seasonal pressure mounts, Chestnut’s innovative plans start to fall apart. Workshop elves Cookie (Jennifer Barnhart, Avenue Q), Fruitcake (Nick Kohn, Avenue Q) and Gumdrop (Don Darryl Rivera, Aladdin) are running dangerously low on Christmas spirit. Even worse, the overworked Crumpet takes a turn for the militant and starts putting kids on the Naughty List for minor infractions.

Luckily, Santa appears just in time to spread some holiday cheer and remind us all that Christmas is about bringing people together- no matter who or where we are.

Donate and watch the holiday hijinks and all the elfing around.
Once you have donated you will receive a thank you email with a link and password to unlock your holiday adventure!
