The blue crew returns to Smurf village in a brand-new series on Nickelodeon, The Smurfs! Get ready to adventure with Smurfette, Papa Smurf, Gargamel, and more in nine fun-filled episodes. We love the Smurfs. I remember collecting the mini figures in the 80s, so we were very excited to receive The Smurfs Season 1 DVD to review and share with you. Be sure to enter our giveaway as well!
The Smurfs are new to Nickelodeon. We enjoyed these episodes and were very happy that this “reboot” has remained true to Smurfy details. The Smurfs were not remade to be overly obnoxious or use off-brand/inappropriate humor for laughs. This truly is a great show for the whole family.
Why DVDs when you can stream?
I always share these tips on how helpful these DVDs can be:
- Those few minutes you need to clean up the breakfast/lunch/dinner dishes
- A drive in the car
- As we use it, those random minutes before bed when you just want to laugh and play along with Jokey Smurf
