disclosure: I was invited to screen Blue’s Big City Adventure in order to facilitate this review. All options are my own. No other compensation was received.

Blue’s Clues has been around for a very long time. It’s hard to believe that a movie has not been made before this. My older children watched the original Blue’s Clues in the 90s with Steve. My youngest watched with Joe. Today’s children enjoy Blue and friends with Josh. Because of my children’s love for Blue, we all gathered for a Blue’s Big City Adventure watch party to see what Blue’s big adventure was all about!

About Blue’s Big City Adventure

BLUE’S BIG CITY ADVENTURE follows Josh (Josh Dela Cruz), who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s (Brianna Bryan) Broadway musical, and Blue (Traci Paige Johnson) as they skidoo to New York City where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance and following one’s dreams. The entire “Blue’s Clues” crew is reunited for this special movie event, with the beloved animated friends and all three hosts – Josh, Steve (Steve Burns) and Joe (Donovan Patton) – together for the first time in the Big Apple.

I have to admit that Blue’s Big City Adventure was adorable. While it fits well with preschool age children, older Blue fans will be touched in certain parts. Be prepared for when Steve shows up – we all were a little misty eyed! It was so nice to see everyone together and playing Blue’s Clues. Blue’s Big City Adventure acknowledges its older fan base throughout the movie, which is a nice touch.

There are a few cameos in Blue’s Big City Adventure as well. Be on the lookout for BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo and Steven Pasquale! With a 74 minute runtime, this Blue’s Big City Adventure is a perfect family night movie choice. It is sure to warm everyone’s heart this holiday season!
