Have you heard about the Avatar All About The Animals campaign?
On Wednesday, October 4, in collaboration with the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute (NZCBI), Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise will kick off their #AvatarAllAboutTheAnimals campaign in celebration of World Animal Day! The month-long social collaboration aims to raise awareness of conservation efforts through a series of fun videos tied to the real-life inspirations behind fan-favorite characters from the Avatar franchise, including Appa, Momo, and more!
Throughout the month of October, these videos were posted on Instagram from both Avatar: The Last Airbender and the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Whether you’d want to be soaring on your air-glider with Momo, riding on Appa’s back, or pro-bending with Pabu, your favorite Avatar-universe animals draw inspiration from some amazing creatures. But in our world, these animals need our help. This is why Team Avatar is joining the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute to raise awareness of these species and the habitats they live in.
In celebration of the Avatar: The Last Airbender #AvatarAllAboutTheAnimals campaign, we’re excited to share this fun recipe inspired by Aang’s flying Bison and this fun craft inspired by Aang’s loyal companion Momo!
