Seven Florida nonprofits were surprised with the news of donations totaling $500,000 from Walt Disney World Resort. The nonprofits will use the funds to inspire and create positive change for students and families across the state.
During a special performance of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, seven Florida nonprofits were announced as this year’s Disney Grants recipients. Each granted nonprofit will use the funding in unique ways to strengthen Florida’s workforce, provide access to education, pioneer youth development programs and more.
Each year, Disney recognizes nonprofits that are bringing joy, happiness and magic to families through monetary donations that are called Disney Grants. These are this year’s recipients and Disney is honored to be part of their stories as they continue to do good in our community.

In our more than 50 years of operating in Florida, we’ve contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to local nonprofits. With Hoop-Dee-Doo celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, there was no better place to surprise this amazing group with the news of our latest donations.
The grants will be used to support Florida students and families. Camp Boggy Creek plans to launch an “Arts for All” camp, where students with disabilities or serious illnesses can learn and perform in a safe environment. Children’s Home Society of Florida will make secondary education more attainable through financial aid paperwork support and STEM summer programs. Marine Discovery Center will make nature accessible to all through first-hand experiences.
