
Maker Faire Orlando is a non-profit, community-organized celebration featuring local do-it-yourself science, art, rockets, robots, crafts, technology, music and hands-on activities. The family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness returns Nov. 8-9, 2025, where people show what they are making and share what they are learning at the 13th annual event at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
Individuals behind the exhibits are known as ‘Makers’ and range from tech enthusiasts to crafters and scientists to garage tinkerers of all ages and backgrounds. The two-day event is expected to draw 14,000 attendees and includes 200+ exhibits, Power Racing Series, combat robots, Nerdy Derby, cosplay makers and much more on display throughout air-conditioned exhibit halls, as well as green spaces filled with hands-on activities, workshops and competitions.

· First responders, active military and Veterans receive free admission to Maker Faire Orlando with identification.

Field Trip Preview Day
Maker Faire Orlando invites students, teachers and homeschool families to experience a one-of-a-kind day of hands-on learning, creativity and innovation during the second annual Field Trip Day. This special preview day on Friday, Nov. 7 is designed exclusively for public, private and charter school field trips, homeschool families and co-ops. Students and educators can immerse themselves in interactive exhibits and engage directly with Makers, artists, engineers and inventors from across Florida. Field Trip Day is free for educators, field trip groups, homeschool families and co-ops with advance registration, based on availability.
Maker Highlights
Theta Machines – Makers from Texas and lifelong fans join Maker Faire Orlando to showcase Real-Time Motion Control (RTMC), an advanced motion control platform for robots, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and other automated devices. Guests are invited to play checkers with a robot arm and build excitement in the field of robotics.
4-H TechGarage – The award-winning national champions, Palm Beach 4-H TechGarage Solar Car Team, will showcase their full-size solar car and electrathon racing vehicles. Team members will be on hand to share their experiences in designing, building and competing in solar-powered racing, and to spark conversations about renewable energy, engineering and the future of transportation.
Sunshine Dart League – Check out high-performance 3D printed Nerf blasters! This group of Makers love flinging foam. See how we take regular Nerf blasters and make them do crazy things or see completely 3D printed blasters.
Innovate and Inspire with Seminole State College – See Rally Rocket NAO AI Robot and meet the team from the college’s Automotive Engineering Technology program. Plus, guests are invited to engage in interactive experiments including the Reverse Egg Drop, Egg Drop Chute, Egg-y Aftermath and Spaghetti Tower Challenge for students, families, and tech enthusiasts alike.
Exhibits & Hands-on Workshops – From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, makers showcase hobbies, experiments, and projects. Immerse yourself in maker culture with exhibits, a performance stage, big art and spectacle. Experience hands-on learning by people who make, play, tinker and hack, including robotics, cosplay, STEM & STEAM, crafts, science, electronics, tools and crazy things you’ve never seen!
Robot Ruckus – Robot Ruckus is included with all Maker Faire Orlando tickets. See your favorite robot builders having fun destroying each other’s toys! Meet your favorite BattleBots builders, as seen on the Discovery Channel, and local robots competing in multiple weight classes. Several fan favorite BattleBots will also be on display.
Power Racing Series – Power Racing is a fun-filled racing experience where makers construct machines for racing. Racers can spend up to $500 on a racer that looks like a children’s ride or toy. Individuals and teams of friends, businesses and organizations join in the fun to compete for bragging rights in this National Racing Championship.
Award-winning Cosplay Makers – Interact and observe award-winning cosplay makers in their element as they bring characters to life with stunning craftsmanship, intricate detailing, and live demonstrations. From armor building and sewing to makeup and prop design, experience the full creative process and get inspired by the passion and skill behind every costume.
