The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management, an attraction in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom, is currently closed due to a fire inside the attraction last week. The fire started in the attic of the attraction, but did not get very far as the emergency sprinkler system was set off, dousing the fire rather quickly. There was a show going on at the time of the fire, prompting the immediate evacuation of the attraction and surrounding areas. From what I understand, not much of the attraction was harmed in the fire; they are just keeping it closed while they find the cause and fix any possible water or smoke damage. There has been no word as to when the attraction will be reopened.
This is the second fire so far this year in Orlando parks. Earlier this year, there was a fire inside an attraction at Universal Orlando. I hope this is not a foreshadowing of what is to come this year!
