Hello, and good evening everyone. I would like to gratefully accept this award and thank everyone at inner mouse and The Disney Driven Life. Thank you for allowing me to be nominated for this prestigious honor. I am thrilled and excited as I accept this award!
A Neurotic Disney GrandDad goes through many chapters in his life to get to this day. It starts shortly after he is born and is taken in his first “snuggly” to a Disney Park. He becomes a Neurotic Disney Baby on that epic day. A few years later when he is able to identify the Fab 5 Disney Characters, in alphabetical order of course, he graduates to a Neurotic Disney Kid. He proudly wears this title until gaining the label of Neurotic Disney Teen. These are difficult years. He is not understood amongst his peers at this stage as his friends wonder, “Why does he speak of Disney so much?” Finally it is time to move on and attain the level of Neurotic Disney Individual. This is a much more comfortable time of life. Very short lived in my case, as I was a Neurotic Disney Dad in very short order indeed! The beginning of the wonder years begins, though, when you introduce your own children to Disney, the Parks, the Ships, the Movies, everything Mickey! And last, but not least, arriving at the most coveted title of Neurotic Disney Grandad. As holders of this position, myself and other NDGD’s look forward to guiding our grandchildren into and through the Disney Driven Life. It is not the destination, but all things Disney along the way.Thank you again to all for this honor and goodnight.

I would like to thank my niece because she is an amazing little girl. She is one of the most important people in my life, and she is a full-fledged Disney Nut. It has been amazing an 30 years. I have gone to WDW since I was 4 years old and now to share that obsession with Chloe has been a huge joy. Thank you to the Disney community for this honor. I would also like to share this award with Mark and Dennis as they are amazing uncles as well and much more deserving than I.
